My picture isn’t great, but we really enjoyed it!Īfterwards, there was still so much to see and do, like these tiles that light up when you walk on them! We didn’t spend a lot of time in the Midway, because there was just so much to see and do in the Lanterns! But there were rides and games, all at an additional charge!Īrrive early to get a good seat for the Chinese Acrobats, it was an incredible show! The show is included in your ticket price. Magical Winter Lights is just so big! You can easily see how we stayed all evening!Ī mural of the Great Wall of China in lights!Ī huge area is devoted to China, near the back by the Chinese Acrobats! My daughter put our names on the hearts in the tree! Outside, the dinosaur lanterns are enormous! Search for dinosaurs bones in the fossil dig.Īnd test your strength against a dinosaur in an arm wrestling challenge. Inside the tent, there are many dinosaurs that aren’t lanterns, too. It’s so big that some of it is inside a giant tent! The next exhibit is HUGE!!! It’s Dinosaurs! Magical Lights is located in LaMarque, so they show their love, too! NASA and Space Center Houston are represented, too! It’s just 18 miles away, if you’re looking for something to do before Magical Lights opens. Of course, there’s a section for Texas as well! The Sydney Opera House was amazing, and the last stop on our World Tour! We traveled to Egypt to see the pyramids…. Just a slightly different angle as the sun was setting and this picture was almost too dark. This is an example of something that just wouldn’t have been as good after dark when you couldn’t see their faces! My son still has a little ways to grow! I love these Russian Nesting Dolls, with cuts out for your head. They have plenty of concession type food, so you can still get a good junk-food fix! Regardless of when you arrive, it’s a good idea to eat before you come so you’re not hungry. They have Lights from around the world! I love this one of my daughter in front of Paris! It’s also not as crowded when the first open, even on a weekend. We arrived as soon as they opened at 5pm, and stayed until the closed that evening! Even though the lights weren’t as incredible at dusk, it gave us a good chance to take some fun pictures that we wouldn’t have been able to after dark!īut the lights are so much better after dark! Magical Winter Lights is a holiday lantern festival in La Marque, South of Houston, and it’s just incredible! We went during their opening weekend, and absolutely loved it!
